A ROBUST AND DURABLE MATERIAL

Linen is a plant fiber,100% natural and local because it is mainly cultivated in France.

Flax cultivation is recognized as a sustainable culture because its environmental footprint is one of the lowest of all natural textile fibers.

Flax is a relatively robust plant, this natural robustness means that we do not have to resort to the use of fertilizer and of pesticides for its culture. In addition, natural rainwater is sufficient for its cultivation.

Flax fiber has a natural rigidity notably due to the length of its fibers, this rigidity will make it less likely to deform or stretch with use.

Linen has an increased durability in use and that even after several washes, successive washes will soften the fiber thanks to the pectin contained in the fiber.

A LIGHT AND AIR MATERIAL

Linen is a fiber of incredible lightness, this lightness comes mainly from its finesse. This fineness of linen also contributes to its softness to the touch and makes it possible to make fluid and comfortable fabrics.

Linen has a very good breathability, the air can circulate there without hindrance, this breathability makes it possible to regulate the body temperature and wick away moisture.

So, body humidity is very quickly evacuated.Without humidity, bacteria do not have the opportunity to develop there and this drastically reduces the smells. Flax fiber is ideal for growing in hot and humid latitudes.

The lightness and breathability of linen makes it a material thermoregulatory, body heat is released in summer and is retained in winter.

OUR LINEN FABRIC

Our linen fabric is not an ordinary linen fabric, it is a pure linen of 230g/m², ideal for ensuring an impeccable outfit and stay dry even in the tropics, designed by one of the most eminent linen knitters in France.

The recurring problem with commercial linen knit clothing is the weight of the fabric. The fabrics are often too light so transparent and without outfit. With our linen knit 230g/m², no more worries about transparency and hold! It is possible to wear your T-shirt, alone or under a sweater, without compromise.

Linen is known for its incomparable texture, this texture rustic and irregular, very singular, in fact truly a matter of character.

Our linen fabric is knitted in our historic knitter's factory and dyed a few meters away.

OUR LINEN KNITTER

BUGIS is a French family business founded in 1956 by Raymond BUGIS, knitter fabrics made from natural materials.

There traceability and transparency are provided by short circuits. The fabrics are knitted, dyed and refined exclusively on French territory, a few steps from the workshop.

BUGIS has made real commitments in terms of social and environmental responsibility, particularly in terms of natural dyes. It is a true pioneer in the use of natural dyes, with a rich range of natural pigments.

THE IDEAL FIT

Tired of the approximate cuts available on the market, we wanted to design our own ideal cut, an iconic and timeless cut to transcend eras.

For this we chose a straight cut with a round neckline and available in several natural materials.

But making the same cut in different materials is not easy because each material will react differently when sewn, depending on its rigidity or flexibility, we call this "movement".

To achieve this, it was necessary to create a unique pattern for each material, so as to compensate for the movement and have a single cut for several different materials.

It's now done and after multiple fittings on different body types and more than 18 months of hard work, the ideal cut is now available in four different natural materials.

HIGH-END WITHOUT AMALGAM

The cut is straight fitted without being too close to the body either to remain comfortable.

The shoulder width is 37.5 centimeters in S.

The length is 62.0 centimeters in S.

The sleeves are neither too short nor too long to reach mid-arm and the bottom of the sleeves are adjusted so that the sleeve always lies well on the arm.

The neck strip goes from shoulder to shoulder and not only in the neck to improve the fit of the body but also comfort in high heat.

The height of the collar is 1.2 centimeters without visible seams for more sobriety without compromising on its outfit.

The labels are made from 100% organic cotton.
